Terms
The terms
of the record.
These terms govern use of Decklog. For a paid subscription, the order form and Data Processing Agreement you sign take precedence over anything here. This page is the plain-language version.
The service
Decklog ingests, structures and keeps a traceable record of a newbuild's technical correspondence, and lets your team query and respond to it. We provide the service on a subscription basis as described on our pricing page and in your order form.
Your account
You are responsible for the activity under your organisation's account and for keeping sign-in access secure. Sign-in is by one-time link to a work email; keep that inbox secure. Tell us promptly at hello@decklog.eu if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your data is yours
Your organisation owns the project content it puts into Decklog. We process it only to provide the service, as set out in our privacy policy and DPA. The record is append-only by design; on termination we return or delete your data on request, subject to legally required retention.
AI and human sign-off
Decklog uses AI to read, classify and draft. AI output is a draft with its sources shown — anything that leaves your organisation requires a named human to approve it. You remain responsible for what your team issues to a yard, owner or class society. Decklog is a system of record, not a substitute for engineering or classification judgment.
Acceptable use
- Don't upload content you have no right to process, or that breaks the law.
- Don't probe, overload or attempt to circumvent the security or tenancy of the service.
- Don't resell or expose the service to third parties outside your engagement.
Availability
We work to keep Decklog available and will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance. During the current period the service is provided without an uptime commitment unless your order form states one. We do not promise the service is uninterrupted or error-free.
Fees
Subscription fees are as shown at checkout, billed in advance, net of VAT which is added at checkout. Plans are metered by the number of active projects. Non-payment may lead to suspension after notice.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Decklog is provided "as is", and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
Either side may end a subscription per the order form. We may suspend access for a serious breach of these terms after notice where practical. On termination your data is handled as described above and in the DPA.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms and will post changes here with a new date. Questions go to hello@decklog.eu. The governing law and venue are set out in your order form.
This plain-language summary is reviewed with counsel before launch and does not replace the signed order form and DPA, which control in case of conflict.
